Terms of use
These terms govern the use of TLDL, the service that summarizes voice notes forwarded on WhatsApp or Telegram, operated by a business based in Italy. By writing to TLDL you accept them. The Italian version prevails in case of differences.
1. The service
You forward a voice note to TLDL and receive a written summary with the main information and the to-dos. The service runs on WhatsApp and Telegram and depends on their availability. The accounts are separate: summaries and purchases on one app do not carry over to the other.
In Telegram groups it is added to, TLDL may offer to summarize long voice notes. Whoever asks, with /tldr or the button, pays with their own summaries, and the summary is posted in the group, where every member reads it.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, use TLDL with the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Available summaries
On first use you receive a number of free summaries, stated in the welcome message. Each summarized voice note uses one; voice notes we cannot process or deliver are not deducted. Free summaries have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money. When you run out you can buy a top-up, choosing among the packs shown with quantity and VAT-inclusive price before purchase, starting from 10 summaries for €0.99. Top-up summaries are valid for 12 months from purchase and are credited right after payment. Payment happens on a Stripe page; Stripe sells the top-up as merchant of record and applies its own terms, including those on receipts, refunds and the right of withdrawal. Alternatively you can subscribe to Plus: €6.99 a month or €59.99 a year VAT included, with 100 summaries every month. The quota renews every month, does not accumulate and is used before summaries from top-ups, which stay valid. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it: you can do so at any time by writing plus to the bot, from the management link, or from your Link account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. The subscription is also sold by Stripe as merchant of record, under its terms. On Telegram, top-ups are paid in Telegram Stars, with the packs and prices shown before purchase; Stars are bought from Telegram under its terms, and the summaries are valid for 12 months like other top-ups. Any other paid plans will be described with prices and conditions before purchase.
4. Content you forward
You are responsible for the voice notes you forward or ask to summarize in a group. Only forward content you are entitled to share and respect the privacy of the speaker. Do not use TLDL for unlawful content, to harass others or to circumvent the limits of the service.
5. Artificial intelligence and errors
Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or omissions. They do not replace the original message: for important decisions, always check the voice note. If you find an error, use the "Report a problem" button or write report followed by the problem.
6. Usage limits
To protect the service we apply reasonable limits, for example on voice note length and on the number of messages in a given period. We may suspend access in case of abuse.
7. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep TLDL running, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from inaccurate summaries or from the service being unavailable. The rights that the law grants to consumers are not affected.
8. Personal data
How we process data is explained in the privacy policy.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes we will tell you in the chat before they apply.
10. Governing law
Italian law applies. For consumers, the competent court is that of the consumer's place of residence or domicile.
